Welcome, Holli.  We are always happy to have a new member.  I  have had 
sporadic poison ivy vines.  I found that the Round-up for brush  works well with 
only a couple of squirts a few days apart.  I am so leery  of using any 
chemicals at all in my yard that I generally just spray in on a  couple of leaves, 
and, voila, the stuff dies.  Since I don't have a real  problem I have been able 
to find it when it is small.  
 
Do you keep cats?  Many of us do so you'll probably be seeing off  topic (OT) 
comments on our babies.
