Re: heat and water


It's all part of the same equation to me: freezing rain + sleet = ice storm with no electricity for up to a week! I'd rather have snow, which rarely happens here.

Pam, We call that a freezing rain here. Sleet is like wet miniature hail,
comes down hard, usually with a fierce wind. Stings, gets you wet and very
cold, very quickly.

Sleet is nasty stuff.  Wet little drops of ice from the sky.  Coats
everything in ice.  Roads, roofs, vehicles, power lines, trees.
Damages most and is sheer h*** to drive on.  We get that verrrrryyyy
rarely thank goodness.  You haven't missed a thing.
