Avocados

The California Avocado Commission--that's the growers' trade and hoopla group--says you can freeze avocado puree. That's the only long-term keeping technique they suggest. They say it makes nice sandwich spread. Anyone ever done that or tasted the results thereof?

Ms Fatma hauled a dozen to school to share this AM; I've got another dozen ripening in the kitchen, and there's probably 40 more on the tree. An amazing year [tree produced maybe 10 last year].
