The yard still gets lots of compliments, overgrown as it is. Luckily I chose a casual look so the weeds mostly blend in to the uneducated eye. The roses, lavenders and shrubs bloom, daylillies, lillies, hostas, echinacea and bulbs come up and bloom as long as they get a bit of water. Wow...me TOO!  Husband I both work full time, all my minions (kids) have
grown and gone so no help on our farm, we have taken over the management of 
my mother's rental property (23 units) and my gardens just look SAD. I do
not have the time to devote to them that I used to.  Makes me sad
sometimes.....life is just too busy right now.

I've felt the same way, lately.  For me I think it's different reasons,
though.

Life has been so hectic and everything else is a priority instead.  It's
depressing to see the garden in this state, but I can't really do anything 
about it.  I also can't afford to buy new plants now either, so if I
do anything it will just be to maintain the current plantings.

There's also the community aspect.  When I worked in the garden I
looked forward to talking to everyone online about what I was
growing, etc.  Now that sense of community is diminished, so it's
a more lonely endeavor.

I would *love* to be able to spend time gardening again.
