Evelyn - here we plant them in May or June, may be different there though.  I like John Scheeper's and White Flower Farms for bulbs.  Haven't tried Brent and Becky's yet (will though) but I understand they are quite good!  I'm going to plant some saffron crocus this next year, they aren't poisonous like the regular autumn crocuses.  I can't have anything poisonous up front where my baby plays...
