yes, ceres, a profusion of pale pink blooms. that was one of the first attractions to it.

and, yes, the name business in begonias leaves [no pun intended] a lot to be desired. i think it's because hybridization started way before nomenclaturalization--so the original roots [no pun intended] have long since been lost.

at some point all this very out-of-date genus/species nomenclature will yield for a system based on dna analysis--which most of us won't understand, but which will end a lot of the academic bickering, and, perhaps, eliminate some of the questionable identifications we now have. it certainly ought to straighten out the begonia, orchid, african violet, and fuchsia genuses.

    I have one angel wing that I purchased in a 2" pot and now is > 5' or
taller than I.  I am letting it grow to see how tall it would get.  This one
has never bloomed.
