I've had a Craftsman C/S 5hp for several years now.  I started with a
smaller electric model, which would have been ok, but the hopper was way to
narrow.  Most years I steal my neighbor's leaves and shred them for leaf
mold or to kill grass for a new bed. (no need to send sod to the dump) 
Come spring I just turn it over adding humus to the new bed.

This one will take about a 2 inch limb too, but it doesn't like long green
woodies.  Still, it shreds just about everything I need it to.
