As far as I know, Gene, the musk used in perfume is harvested from mink and otters, not those hairy little beasts of the far north. Although some of those "musk" scents for men, English Leather in particular, smelled more like they used the musk from a randy goat.

I think you are confusing the scent marketed as "musk" with musk.
