RE: Happy Holidays to All

A Christmas miricle has occurred at my house!  My husband is making
Christmas cookies!  I haven't had time to make anything year, nor Christmas
cards for that matter... So- he's on his second batch! Yeah!
Earlier this morning I drove back from Oroville with my dad (went to go pick
him up to spend the holiday with us).  We stopped by the Honeybaked Ham
store and stood in line for 30 minutes to get the ham and smoked turkey
(mmmm- it smelled so good in the store).  Came home and made a super deluxe
pecan pie (pecans, chocolate chips, brandy, and cream).  Just need to make
fruit salad later tonight, and tomorrow just warm up the meats, make some
herb-roasted potatoes, veggies, and a green salad- and ta-da christmas
dinner!  My inlaws are also coming so we will have a nice group!

While I take a quick moment, I want to wish you all a safe and peaceful
holiday.  I will prepare dinner (lasagna) for our traditional Christmas Eve
dinner,
open gifts and attend church.  We will travel about 25 miles to our
daughters
family church for Christmas Eve services as the oldest granddaughter,
Natasha
the college student, will have a part in the services.   This is the first
Christmas without my dad and  I know many of you have suffered similar
losses
this year also.  May the great memories  over come our sorrow.
    I thank each of you for the greatest gift of all, your friendship.  To
Janice, I will include a special prayer for you.
    Now back to my preparation tasks.
