Chris,
Do your cats bother your fabric-covereed furniture? If they already have a
place to sharpen their claws nd haven't bothered furniture, I can't see why
they'd be drawn to a new piece because it's leather. I don't like leather
furniture myself, so I don't have any experience with cats' attraction to
it. If you have cardboard trays and sissel poles and have trained them to
use them, you should be fine.
