Re: OT:weather, cats


We have a very old, hand-knotted oriental rug. Before we found it at
auction, someone had raggedly cut off the fringe on one end, so it was
cheap. Since that came to the house, cats sharpen their claws only on it
while inside. So far (10 years?) it is no worse for the experience. The old
cats liked the cardboard trays, but they wore them out very quickly.
