And after you get the new scratching post, set your plant sprayer bottle
on a fine stream and spritz her when she claws up something you don't
want her to. I did this when Sugar was little and you only have to do it
once or twice, it works. She's eight and a half now and still runs when
I get it out to spray the plants. Cats have long memories.
