You didn't sound callous Kitty, I'm having a bad week, sorry to sound soto
bitchy. I did plant fast growers but only a couple are evergreen, as I
really don't have space for giants like live oaks, which take a gazillion
years to grow anyway. I turned my small heater on in the greenhouse and
still covered everything with sheets INSIDE as it's supposed to get down27 tonight. I wish I was sitting at Cafe Demonde in New Orleans right now.free.

Oh, I give you lots of credit, Andrea. I didn't mean for the remark tocomeacross callous. When you wrote "no trees", I thought you meant you hadthe
none. Yes, they're small when you plant them and they take years to getheight you want, but you have to plant them if they're ever going to getgiant
there. Your complaint must have meant that you've planted but you're
waiting for the height.

Give me a little credit here, I have. But they don't make up for thepines and live oaks that keep others around here relatively frosttotheThose are the ones that provide the most protection for our yards. A

It's due to lack of the trees that the contractors cut down. No trees.
Plant some.

My greenhouse is old and kind of warped in some placed.Looksstunning in the winter time. We are expecting our first serioustoldnight. They say 38 degrees but my place tends to frost easily and I'vetheisy'allcontractorsthis before I'm sure. It's due to lack of the trees that theseemscutdown. No trees.
Anyway, my pineapple sage is still blooming and the salvia Greggiitoprefer this kind of weather and blooms all winter. Everything elseit'sprobably going to be nice and brown by tomorrow night. Ignoring the chill this morning, I went out to stake my tomato plants--I noticed yesterday they were starting to bloom--andone of them [a "Better Bush"] has several walnut size greenThe jalapenos are blooming also. In the flower department, allthezygocactus are either blooming or loaded with buds, as are many of-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -orchids.
