I believe that all of the state is on a time line to get meters- due to
Federal regulations and I'm sure some money being contingent on it. Having
been in Va Beach and not being allowed to wash cars, water, lawns or fill
pools after a certain date in spring I always thought it was incredibly
hypocritical to say California had a waeter shortage, but then not to meter
water. Only last year did our local finally start using recycled water to
irrigate the median strips and roadside landscaping. They are making
progress- just not sure what took so long.

Theresa, my brother lives in Morgan Hill and he talks of controlled usage.
If he uses more than allowed he is fined or chgd an extra fee. I'm sure he
must have a meter.
