happened to me often when i lived last in california. some kind of testosterone thing. meantime, when a kid took out my mailbox here, he was drunk. just ran into it. ta-da. he did replace, however.

I thought that's what those posts are for, but I wasn't sure.  I'll have to
concur that mailbox bashing, or blowing them up, is pretty common in this
area.  They don't call us rednecks for nothing!
