From Donna's post -
>> #3 Spring River Nursery? Anyone ever heard of them?
I saw the same ad in our Sunday newspaper, Donna - Hardy Lavender, 1 for
$2.98 or 12 for $18.00, "a lifetime of joy!"
This is the same nursery that advertizes Paulownia tomentosa
(Scrophulariaceae)- Empress Tree - "a beautiful flowering tree that will
grow 15 feet in a year" for a very inexpensive price. It all sounded so
wonderful I was thinking about ordering several until I got more info from
the net. Anyone out there have any experience with this tree?
This is one of many sites that discourage it's use:

I think Kitty's comment - If you're getting a lavender, you might prefer
one of the many cultivars - is probably what I'm going to do instead of
ordering from Spring River.
