Hi Jesse--I have a few (30) astilbe in containers, some in full shade, some
in part shade, all winter quite well, and all blloom profusely.  I'm real
happy with them, low maintenance etc.  They are in  Whiskey barrels that are
cut in half. After drinking the whiskey, of course.  Rich in Z-5
