Me, too, but our Historical Zoning Commission guidelines dictate that our
houses will be white with green trim. The town actually sued the former owner of
my house because he painted it light brown! Of course, the town lost, but
that hasn't stopped the rules. I would never think of painting the original
ante-bellum houses anything but white; however, mine is a bastardized arts &
crafts from the 1940's -- not the 1840's.
