My father is retired Air Force. He depended on military health service
in his retirement and noted over the years that the service has been
diminishing. More and more frequently, he could not obtain the service
needed at the military hospitals and was sent to private sources.


Also, noted this today: A GAO report has found that about 16,000
Chattanooga-area veterans don't have adequate access to VA health care.
The investigation, done at the request of U.S. Rep. Zach Wamp, R-Tenn.,
said about 99 percent of local veterans faced travel times that exceeded
VA guidelines for inpatient hospital care. Reported by Ashley Heher,

Interesting how many of us have a military association.
