Tried a carpet rose two years ago, but it had blackspot so bad that I just removed it and put a tree peony in its place.

I realize the hype is on knockout roses currently around here, but to be
honest, I think the carpet roses are much better. The red version (sorry,
not sure what they call it) has absolutely out bloomed any other for me. It
doesn't get any of the nasty looking issues that other roses get here. It is
in my no care area, and just blooms its heart out all summer long.

Several people on this list raved about the Knockout Rose (cherry-red
color)
so I bought one last summer AND a Blushing Knockout (pink). Blooming all
summer is nice, but what I'm really thrilled about was there was no sign
of
black spot throughout or wet summer.

Kitty,
I was at Sunshine Nursery the other day and the girl that sells me more
plants mentioned a "Knockout rose" that blooms all summer. She loves
itand highly recommended it. I didn't buy it but have thought about itsincethen. They have a web site and I think they do mail order but on a very
small scale. www.sunshinenursery.com

Sometimes it is just luck finding things. Like finding Rosa'Knockout'.I
was looking for 'Knock Out' - or was it the other way around? I tried
fora
long time to find the full name or combined species parentage of my
Lonicera with no luck. Finally called the Mailorder nursery that sold
it -
they didn't have it either. I'll never know.

Is this a new introduction? I can't find anything. If it is new it
mayhavea developer's name in addition to the trade name. We might findsomethingunder that instead if you know who developed it.
