Re: peony people


I mentioned this once before.  I bought a root - didn't look like a graft to
me - just a few inches long and about as wide as my thumb, years ago.
Planted it and got a tree peony  It was supposed to be lavender, but when it
flowered in its second year, it was deep dark red.  2 years in a row.  The
next year it had lavender flowers, but never again. I counted 28 deep dark
red flowers on it this year.  Fine by me.  But I also bought a new lavender
one.
