Donna, I hear all the things people say about ivy, but I love it. I have
grown ivy for nearly 35 years here a bit north of Chris, and it has not
become invasive for me. It has clothed some enormour rock-
outcroppings where nothing else has grown. It has filled a limited
bed in my breezeway with a northern exposure. It is totally not a
problem for me. I have four different cultivars - including one brought
from my childhood home in Florida. None of them are invasive. I
think it is really like a lot of other so-called invasives - it depends
on where it grows. In my situation it is a perfect plant. You have
to consider where it will be placed.

Donna,
It's one of those thugs that you'll hate yourself for planting! There are
better alternatives. IT WILL INVADE YOUR GARDEN! It keeps growing even in
winter! Please read the links that I posted!
Consider yourself forewarned!
