I discovered something a time or two ago. If you go to the Better Business Bureau's web site and search out the company, you can usually find a phone number that will be answered by a real, live person. That person may be in India or Cameroon or some other offshore paradise, but I have always found them to be quite helpful.

Customer service is becoming a thing of the past.... don't you just hate those automated messages- push this button for that- and after touring a zillion prompts, still can't get a real person on the phone!
