Re: Plant ID?/ now gardening start..

Well- although not technically gardening, I clearly loved dirt from the
beginning. My mom has pictures of me in diapers and covered in
Tennessee mud (No- I will not share those pics!!). But, I really
remember always being in the garden with my mom, or out in the woods
near our house looking at, picking and eventually rescuing wild
flowers. I did buy stuff from Michigan bulb at about age 12 (it was the
only place I could get so much for so cheap and I was spending my
birthday money. Besides- did I know any better?). The thing is- ALOT
of what I ordered grew and flowered. I wasn't in the least bit
disappointed. They were mostly bulbs or corms of some kind or another.
The next year or two, I bought a J & P rose (Bonica) which bloomed it's
head off for more years than I lived at home. I think because I already
knew that everything you plant doesn't always work out perfectly, having
a few things not come up or even die didn't seem that unusual to me.
That, and the minor detail that I'm stubborn beyond belief and refuse to
give up on just about anything.
