Huh- I bought a Kitchenaid Pro burr coffee grinder for my husband for Xmas, and it is fantastic. So they obviously are making some things well still.
Our Kenmore dishwasher however, is just so-so. Theresa Johnson Cyndi D Civ 95 CG/SCSRT wrote:
I don't even know what kind of washer/dryer we have. Might be Whirlpool; it's been at least 10 years since we've had to do anything with them. I wouldn't buy a Kitchenaid refrigerator. In fact I wouldn't buy Kitchenaid anything now, they used to be a good brand but apparently the quality has dropped dramatically. We bought a new Kitchenaid fridge and dishwasher, mostly because I heard their top end stuff was pretty good, and one of the drawers broke in the fridge and the dishwasher needs a filter cleaned almost every week, we never had to do that with our oldone. Can't even remember when we had to have it serviced - better knock on wood. I had a Sears once and hated it. We will be refrigerator shopping soon. What is the best feature? You know when one goes they all go. We replaced our furnace last spring but I won one. Late last fall we replaced the refrigerator and now it is the washer and dryer. I have never had anything but Maytag and have been fully satisfied with each. My current set is 21 yrs old. Maytag, Iowa owned in the past, have had some real problems recently and I am leaning not to purchase another.
