My mom wore Chanel #5. I wear perfume about once a yr, if that, and I still like #5. When we were teens I liked Tigress, probably because of the fur covered cap. I recall the first boy that gave me perfume gave me White Shoulders. A few years later i wore some and my boyfriend at that time recognized it as his mother's scent. I didn't wear WS after that.

Auralie,What a wonderful story! Thanks for sharing..... I wonder where the saying "the cat's pajamas" came from? My mom wore Estee Lauder.... the smell that was so heavy.... Youth Dew. I can smell it now just thinking of mom.Tricia(today it is suppose to be in the high 50's.... I am hoping to get out in the garden) ----- Original Message ----- From: <Aplfgcnys@aol.com>To: <gardenchat@hort.net> Sent: Tuesday, February 12, 2008 5:38 PM Subject: Re: [CHAT] Lone Ranger"Evening in Paris" Wow! That really takes me back. I think I was given about six bottles and/or boxes of dusting powder for my high-school graduation. I thought it was pretty dull even then. The scent that really turned me on was "Tabu" (or was it spelled Taboo?). During the WWII years that one was very hard to get, but I had been given a small bottle brought back by a soldier returning from Europe. I thought I was the cat's pajamas! Amazing how these thingsget us. Of course I really didn't like my grandmother so that's not one of the smells I'd want to experience again.......;-) A **************The year's hottest artists on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards.
