Hmmm, wonder why they don't do that anymore. Woke up at 4:00 am (why, I don't know but since I'm up...) It's in the low 30's here, maybe high 20's but the wind is blowing so it feels colder. Again, Vidalia loves it while Austin sleeps in the bed. Why is my dog sleeping better than I am??? I'm at my best this time of the day so the dishes are in the dishwasher and the clothes in the laundry. I'm about to start sorting seeds to see what I want to start this week in the greenhouse, IF I can find room. Supposed to go up to 51 today so I might try and do a little bit of garden clean up. My yard looks awful! Then it's supposed to rain again tomorrow and be in the low 30's & 20's the rest of the week nights. Where are my 60 degree temps!!! AAARRRGGGG!!! -----Original Message----- From: owner-gardenchat@hort.net [o*@hort.net] On Behalf Of Daryl Sent: Saturday, February 13, 2010 1:20 PM To: gardenchat@hort.net Subject: Re: [CHAT] What is wrong Donna, The last time we got 10 inches of snow here in the Atlanta area was in the 80's. It had the highways closed down for a week. Last night, when our 3" of snow started freezing, it caused huge traffic nightmares. One poor truck driver reported that it took him 11 hours to drive 4 miles, and that was on I-85. Georgia does have a few snowplows now. When we moved here, there were no such outside the city, and there were no sand/salt trucks, either. Sanding was done by convicts standing on top of a load in a dump truck - shoveling by hand. d ----- Original Message ----- From: "Donna" <gossiper@sbcglobal.net> To: <gardenchat@hort.net> Sent: Saturday, February 13, 2010 7:07 AM Subject: Re: [CHAT] What is wrong > say what?
