Have you been able to get out to the store and such in the interim, at least?

Yes, there are worse things if you look at it that way - like that 78 year old American woman trapped in her apartment in Egypt.

My brother lives near Tucson, and is dealing with frozen, burst pipes! That's incredible!

Hope things have improved in Texas. I can remember times like that
when I lived in the South.
Beautifully clear here today, but still in the lower 20s. It was 6 degrees
when I got up this morning. Unfortunately, we are predicted to have
another freezing rain, sleet, etc. tomorrow into Sunday, which will just
add to the ice accumulation that is already about 18 inches. When
this finally does melt - surely it will? - we will more than likely have
a flooded basement. Oh well, there are worse things
