Ooh yeah. Hoyas are great. Another nice non-jasmine scent. I'd forgotten about them, but they were amazingly easy to grow in Florida and bloomed profusely.

Aspidistra is a great choice, Judy. Iron plant. I think it can live in a closet without water nearly forever. And it always looks good. Hard to beat syngonium, too, Melody, especially the variegated ones; a cutting will live forever without complaint in a jar of water. Somewhere I've got a picture of a striking one--if I can find it, I'll post it on Facebook.
Oh yeah. Mother-in-law's tongue is sansavaria. It come either green/ yellow or mostly green/white flecks. The blooms, which it does once in a long while, have a wonderful aroma, sweet but not jasminey, which is nice.
