Ooh yeah. Hoyas are great. Another nice non-jasmine scent. I'd forgotten about them, but they were amazingly easy to grow in Florida and bloomed profusely.

I just love hoyas. There are so many different kinds, and their blooms are amazing. Iron plant. I think it can live in a closet without water nearly forever. And it always looks good. Hard to beat syngonium, too, Melody, especially the variegated ones; a cutting will live forever without complaint in a jar of water. Somewhere I've got a picture of a striking one--if I can find it, I'll post it on Facebook.Oh yeah. Mother-in-law's tongue is sansavaria. It come either green/ yellow or mostly green/white flecks. The blooms, which it does once in a long while, have a wonderful aroma, sweet but not jasminey, which is nice.On Feb 15, 2011, at 4:33 PM, Judy Browning wrote:How about Aspidistra? or a Hoya?My winter heathers are in bloom and 1 patch of Candytuft is blooming. Have bought myself a couple of easy houseplants for my office now that I've moved to one with a south facing window. Nothing fancy (bloomed out amaryllis, a variegated pothos, and a syngonium (arrowhead plant)...but they are green and they bring a nice color into what is otherwise a very grey cubicle area! Any suggestions for easy to care for houseplants that would do well with medium sunlight on a windowsill?
