Zem, It's interesting that you and Marge should bring up poke again just
now.  I remember a discussion about it last year.  Then when I got my
Seneca Hill catalogue the other day, there it was:
Phytolaca american 'Silberstein'
"It's the American Pokeweed, dressed to kill, with creamy leaves speckled
and flecked in gree, in delightful contrast to the reddish stems....a real
show stopper. comes true from seed."  Zone 5, height to 5 ft.
