althea officinalis (common marshmallow)


Well, I looked up several pictures of this plant and from what I can
tell, the leaves are rather triangular in shape...the plant I have has
typical rounded, multilobed leaves...also, the flowers are rather large,
typical of most garden hollyhocks. I'm willing to settle for Kitty's
likely theory that it is just a really fat root...don't know where else
to look. Thanks to all on the list for your help...it is most
appreciated.
