RE: OT-Reverse sexism< Ms. Mrs.

Yeah! And for those of us married women who choose to hyphenate our
names, you would think that the computer systems of the world could
learn to accomodate this...do you know not even the IRS computers can
get my whole, married, hyphenated name on its stupid forms? I always end
up with at least two or three letters missing from the end of my name
and I wonder what consequences this could have someday when I go to try
and collect my social security (if it still exists by then, of
course)?...

OK- I have to put in my 2 cents here. I have never, ever understood the
Mrs. thing- why would a woman's title change just because she got married.
My vote is that everyone is Ms. - married or not. This reflects gender
(just as Mr. does) not marital status. I am married, and still use Ms. I
absolutely hate is when I get mail addressed to Mrs. John Witt.- who the
heck is that? My name is Theresa.
I love my husband, but I am my own person- not some appendage.

Theresa
