RE: weather

I've talked it over with our neighbor and they are all for it, but we'd
share costs.  With our job situation and their job situation, there just
aren't any funds right now.  If we are blessed in the future, you can bet
that is one of the first things we do!  We even thought of putting a small
bridge over the area so we can still visit in spring and fall without
sinking knee deep in mud or water.  We've had it re-graded three times on
our dime already to "fix" the problem with absolutely no success.  If the
road bed were not raised above our property level (which used to be below
our grade,) the water would simply run off across the street and into the
little creek behind the houses across the street.  The township decided to
"fix" the grade when they put in sewers.  UGH!  Of such is life.

I recall a lovely "dry stream" bed featured in a gardening magazine (I'll
look it up if you're interested) to take care of flash flooding between two
property lines.
