RE: Progress on the garden wall
Well, if it's out near the street and you are worried about salts----scratch
that! You don't have to worry about salt on your road ways, do you? LOL!!!
What was I thinking? Anyway, I've used thrift in a couple of places where
there might be traffic and road grime (including salt.) Mine looks like
grass about 3" tall when it isn't in bloom (has those sweet pink globes for
blooms) and it hasn't taken over that end of the garden either. It has had
a couple of cars roll over it and managed to survive. That's probably
heavier traffic than what you'll need to worry about. LOL!!!
Blessings,
Bonnie (SW OH - zone 5)

Hi Kitty-
From the limited research I've done online (in the last 5 minutes) it seems
that Sagina doesn't want hot afternoon sun. Near the sidewalk it gets
REALLY hot, so I might be able to use it further up that path, but I think
I'd need something more heat/sun tolerant at the end of the path.

Sorry, should have used the common name but couldn't think of it at the
time. Sagina subulata is Irish Moss. But it's not really a moss. Here's a
picture (you'll have to scroll down for it):

I chose that pic because it shows it used around stepping stones.
