My Aesculus are doing fine, but just haven't "taken off". I fell in love with them after having seen some lovely specimens on the grounds of the governor's mansion in Springfield.

Yep, the one for this zone, but it didn't make it.
.... If I could ever figure out just what to put in this 16 ft X 53ft area, probably would have happened already...
Southern exposure and lots of space. I shouldn't think this would be difficult, other than paring down all the choices.
It is so narrow and long... don't want to just have a row, not enough room to wander a path setting, and from 53 ft back, what are you going to see in that last 30 or so feet.... just can't visualize something interesting.
