Well, now, that's very interesting. Does it have red-orange berries like the Possum Haw that grows wild around here, or is it related? I have no idea what botanical name of our Possum Haw is, but it's really pretty in the winter. Like Libby, I am also learning so much from this vibe discussion. This is good because I have planned or getting some 'friends' for the ones I have planted around the yard.

I noticed Bluestone has 7 Vibes this year. their prices are quite
reasonable. For more variety, the Arrowhead catalogue -37 varieties -
just came today and, of course, Forest Farm always has a lot to pick
from - 81 varieties!
BTW - I see that FF refers to Viburnum nudum as Possum Haw Viburnum.

Just wanted to say what an interesting Viburnum discussion this has been
- I learned a lot and will be rereading the reference you found, Kitty.
I am interested in the berries for the birds as much as the flowers for
me, so it looks like I do need a few more of a different, or several
different, variety(ies), and a couple years for these little ones to
grow, too!
Thanks

sounds like a great way to cope and would make adelightful plant, Ceres.
However, for me the V carlesii wasn't just too wide, it was also taller
than planned for. They were supposed to stay below the redbuds in a long
area only 3-4 ft wide. Just a poor choice on my part.
