RE: Alberta Spruce & Ilex Meserveae "San Gabriel"


Thanks, Chris!  I'll have to put them next to the fence in the back then if
they are that sensitive.  I've had one of my white pine die off from this
odd winter and that will help fill in back there.  It will also hide the
neighbor's very weathered wooden privacy fence.  (It's the only one in the
neighborhood.)  Everyone else who put up a fence put up an open fence or
used landscaping (hedges and such) to define areas.  It was like a little
park until that fence went up.   Of such is life!

The most important thing with dwarf Alberta spruce is protecting them 
from the wind.  If the foliage gets windburn it'll leave large gaping holes 
that will never fill in.
