Re: crazy weather

Upper 70s here today. I'll take it. A note from my sister, who lives near Salem, Oregon, says she's building an ark. Guess NorCal is still getting hammered, too.

It's in the 50's here today, Betsy, with forecasts of possible snow for the
weekend. I've already seen some heaving ground. I'll be working on that
for certain!

Are the mountainous/ski areas also experiencing a warm up? I always thought
bears winter hibernation was dictated by length of daylight, but is it
temperature instead? How very interesting.

I guess we all are having crazy weather. In the Denver area, we are having a
spell of near 60 degrees. (We also had a two week period about this same
time last year.) I have been watering the flower beds around the garden
center...good soakings of 15-20minutes. Hopefully, the winds will not dry
them out quickly. Up in ASpen, some of the bears have been awaking for a
mid-winter snack. I wonder if they are awale enough to catch a skier?
