Hi Zem, That'll be cool. Hope the peonies are snug in their little beds 'til spring. Sent some to my sisters in Royal Oak MI(they bloomed last, 2007, year) and in Winfield KS, they just got planted last fall. The sister in KS spread about 30 roots around with various friends. That NE peony is getting well traveled. By the way, temps in the 40's today.

If someone has just an errant/extra/out of place one, hint hint. Rich where it's supposed to get above freezing tomorrow. Hoo-HaKitty wrote:I assumed it wouldn't be hardy here, but I looked Lonicera fragrantissima up at MOBOT and it is Zones 4-8. However, they say it blooms March-April in St Louis.Hmmm...wonder who sells this one. I'd love to get my hands on it. I never even remember I have it until it blooms. What a fragrant reminder that spring will come again! I do love this old fashioned shrub. I got mine from suckers at an abandoned homestead nearby. It's got to be one of the easiest plants to grow since it requires absolutely no care. I also checked out the Hellebores, and they have doubled in size with lots of new growth. I'm expecting blooms onthem in the next few weeks. zem zone 7 West TN --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE GARDENCHAT--------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE GARDENCHAT--------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE GARDENCHAT--------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE GARDENCHAT
