It's a great old-fashioned shrub. And it is surely welcome here in the dead of winter. Maybe I can find more than two suckers. I must tell you, however, that I transplanted mine about three years ago, and this is the first year they have actually bloomed.

I assumed it wouldn't be hardy here, but I looked Lonicera fragrantissima up at MOBOT and it is Zones 4-8. However, they say it blooms March-April in St Louis.Hmmm...wonder who sells this one. I'd love to get my hands on it. I never even remember Ihave it until it blooms. What a fragrant reminder that spring will comeagain! I do love this old fashioned shrub. I got mine from suckers at an abandoned homestead nearby. It's got to be one of the easiest plants to grow since it requires absolutely no care. I also checked out the Hellebores, and they have doubled in size with lots of new growth. I'm expecting blooms onthem in the next few weeks. zem zone 7 West TN --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE GARDENCHAT--------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE GARDENCHAT
