Weather has been horrid here.  I have about had it with the cold, and now,
they are saying a foot of snow in the next 24 hours... just wonderful... NOT
 
Glad to hear your knee replacement is healed.  Mom's last one isnt healing
right and they are going in tomorrow (yes in the snow and ice) to check it
out, add a drain and who knows what. Hopefully this will work out and she will
be done in a couple of weeks.

Donna, you are amazing to remember everyone's birthday!..even us lurkers. 
How are you dealing with this awful weather? I think we're really in for it 
thurs-fri. I'm afraid to go and check things out in the greenhouse. At
least we  have had some sun most days. Be careful on the roads.
Kitty, Have you come up with any answers to favorite new plants? I don't 
seem to try a lot of new things as they are usually too expensive for resale
and  of course still have patents. An old one that gave us a lot of pleasure
this year was gaillardia 'Goblin'. It bloomed constantly and still had a
few the  first week of Dec. Also iris 'Immortality' that did not bloom in the
spring was  in beautiful full bloom for Thanksgiving. A very weird year.
Andrea, Hope your surgery went ok (or will? can't remember when it was 
scheduled.) I have pretty well recovered from Oct.knee replacement surgery
'tho
it seems to be taking a long time to get back some energy. Guess I'm not
as  young as I would like.
Jim, did you learn anything more about the influx of robins? Are you 
adapting to the winter gloom? a bit different from the Gulf coast I should 
think.
Jess, your Colo. vacation sounded ideal. Is this a family tradition? Sounds
like it should be if it isn't.
Bonnie, Your New Years card was a delight. Thanks so much.
