Re: fireworks NOW flooding
there's a sort of urban legend here that tornadoes go around Fort Wayne, aka
the Summit City. Something to do with the confluence of the 3 rivers and
the point at which they meet in town. I've heard it's hogwash but, whereas
we do get high winds when tornadoes are around, we never get a full blown
one in town. Have had some on the outskirts and a couple that were
considered borderline in the limits, but usually the big damage happens all
around us. On the other hand, with 3 rivers and innumerable ditches, we
aren't immune to flooding.
