No it wouldn't.  For one thing, the 'book' would be at leat 50 heavy volumes.  
And each time you'd think you identified one, you'd find a minimum of 7 that 
look exactly like it - at least to you and me.  The experts might have a better 
chance at identifying, but when you're talking 'every daylily in
cultivation' even experts would have a tough time!
