help identify lily varmint

Creres,
Definitely not the lily beetle.I just took some pics with both cameras. The
digital isn't good enough to get a close up. So I took several with the SLR
with a macro lens, but will have to wait to be developed. However, through
the macro lens I was able to get a better look at him.

He's round, like a ball and about the size of a Diascia bud; half the size
of a Coreopsis rosea bud. He's not brown, but army green on what looks to be
a scaled hump back. lots of tiny black unsegmented legs. He's definitely
done damage to the lily's flowerbud stem; the underside is brown. He senses
when and where you're near and hussles to the other side of the stem with
his white cotton fluff. Anyone have an idea?

Just getting the pics was a challenge with all the mosquitoes, but hopefully
something will develop.

Kitty
