Re: self-sowers now bulb sale


We always advertise about having unusual varieties, but when you rely on
free advertising......
I don't mean that we wouldn't sell any Silk Road.  There would definitely be
some buyers.  Just not enough to get the quantity discount we need.

Since we started our own nursery and labeled these plants "MG Special
Selections" and display them separately from the other materials, there has
been a tremendous interest in these plants at the sales.  Some people
actually pass by everything and come straight to our stuff (we're at the
back).  They know they'll find interesting stuff back there.  Our plants
have been making up 40-50% of the gross sales of late. We also get together
after the sale to talk things over.
