Kitty,

I just found out that the all caps thing is to distinguish registered
cultivars from non-registered.  I realize that it's not taxonomically
correct, but that's what the American Hemerocallis Society does.  I've
never seen daylily as two words.  I think that would add to the
confusion with the liliums, don't you?
