Many thanks, that must be it. Interesting shrub or tree. The Japanese ST. is 
called Stewartia pseudocamellia. I wonder if the St. had a say in this, would 
probably say: I'm no pseudo-anything, I'm a Stewartia.
You are better at googling than I am, didn't get any place.
Now I have to find that lady......thanks again.
