Define water garden? So you have a waterfall? Spitter? Where is this
pumping?

Sounds like a split hose line or something is overflowing- read a rock moved
and is draining out instead of recirculating...

Of course, by the time I got to this message- it is probably fixed...

But why take the plants out!??
