 So sorry about the snake bite.  If you could get a nice big black snake,
it would take care of your copperheads...maybe keep things in balance.  I
didn't know they had anti-venom for dogs...I think a few years ago, you
might not have been able to do anything.   I love your description and hope
he has begun to deflate.  One of our former cats went after a big snake and
ended up with a serious infection at the base of his tail...cats are pretty
fast but snakes can be faster...(the cat was soon ok...antibiotics are
wonderful).
