Re: now heat/weeds

I do believe every weed seed that ever thought of blowing into the garden germinated at the same time. We had the hot and dry for 6 weeks and I was beginning to water the gardens the last two weeks of the mini-drought. then the rains kicked in.... and did they ever. A whole week of rain almost every day, cloudy overcast skies and still the heat. two mornings we worked in the garden it rained most of the mornings off and on... I ran to the big tree in the center of the garden, watched the rain clouds go by, went back out to work.
I have only been working out in the garden from 8 or 9 am until lunch. The back inside, wash up, have lunch and take a nap. The heat and humidity is exhausting. But, the garden is getting pretty close to weed free once more.
Staying inside I did get most of my fall inventory written up. Now have about 10 pages of new plants for this coming fall. Still just a very few more to go, but almost finished with that project. New newsletter written for August... so. Some good was hidden in last week. Now for this one.

snip....
It is ungodly hot out here this weekend... I am staying inside after 8am, or
at least in an a/c car and meeting hall. Tomorrow they are predicting 100+
degrees, heat index at 120....this is not normal!
